Puppy boom in Malaga, the pups keep on coming....

The requests for saving puppies are almost impossible to keep up these days.. for all of us... Everyday dozens of shout outs for help and we cannot answer them all.... It does seem that finding help for the little and easy pups is easier than for mama Mastins, who have to give birth on the streets... they are left out, while for others there is a quick solution and there always be someone who can help them.. But Mastins, a beautiful breed, are so often neglected ans misused for the worst things... Often they turn into outside dogs who end up on a thick and long chain.. Nobody wants them, help can barely be found and in the end they come to us, like it has happened several times in the last days...

This week alone, 10 mastin puppies came in, left alone... Their father weighs 80kg and immediately was adopted by one of our volunteers... but we couldn't take the mama.... We need a little bit more magic for that.. She lives on a chain, urgently needs to be sterilized and taken away from there.. Their puppies are now safe with us,, They are 10, like its is nothing... All are big bears, who recover a bit more everyday but who are luckily already got rid of all the pests in their coats and they can eat like no other...

They are adorable cute pups who will be up for adoption... but they will be very big. Count on a dog of 70kg, a giant dog who will love to put his teeth somewhere when he gets into the puberty...When you get through this, with lots of patience and discipline, then you will have a fantastic dog in return. A dog that adores his family, that guards his house with his impressive looks, and who will become your very best friend for life, loyal like no other...

Dirk and I have adored our Indy for 14 years, she was 80kg but so quiet... she sweetheart of the foster puppies and the big friend of big and small dogs.. Thanks to her, we always knew when someone was at the door, she was the favorite of all of our friends, but strangers could only come in if we agreed to it... They are great dogs, but big and strong! But whoever had one knows: once a Mastin, always a Mastin...
